The Opposition People’s National Party is deeply concerned about the state of the healthcare delivery system in the country, following a newspaper article entitled “Lame Hospitals” which revealed that the island’s top three hospitals are without the service of a functioning CT Scan machine used to confirm diagnosis of major illnesses of patients. |

The Opposition People's National Party is extremely upset at the revelation that the Bustamante Hospital for Children was again invaded by gunmen. Opposition Spokesman on Health, Dr Fenton Ferguson says "It was only recently when the Spanish Town Hospital was raided by gunmen that I reminded the Minister of Health, Hon. Rudyard Spencer of his instructions to his Ministry after the Bustamante Hospital for Children was invaded by gunmen the first time, to carry out a security audit of all health facilities. To date the country has not been told about the findings of that audit neither have we seen any serious security improvements."
