The People's National Party will be hosting its annual two day National Executive Council (NEC) meeting on Saturday, July 26^th and Sunday, July 27^th, 2008 at the Inter Faculty Lecture Theatre at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus.

This meeting which is the last NEC for the political year is used by the Party as preparation for Annual Conference, which is scheduled for September 18 -21, 2008.

Reports covering activities for the political year 2007 - 2008 will be received from all Officers, Regions, Party Commissions, Arms & Affiliates, the Parliamentary Group and the Spokespersons Council. Resolutions to be debated at Annual Conference will be tabled at the NEC.

The NEC will receive a report on the preparations being made for Annual Conference, including the guidelines and procedures for the internal elections.

The Party Leader, The Most Hon. Portia Simpson Miller will address the NEC on both days.

• The General Secretary and Chairman will host a press briefing at the end of the 1^st day of the NEC, commencing at approximately 3pm
• On the 2^nd day, the press will be invited to cover the presentation of the Party Leader, which is scheduled to commence at approximately 1.30pm
